AIM: The primary aim of this event is to explore and advance the practical applications of Socially Assistive Robots (SARs) within a lab-based participatory development process. Additionally, the potential of the mirrored transformation approach will be discussed highlighting the practice of mirror transformation from the Future Care Lab at the Martin Luther University of Halle to the Future Care Lab in Prishtina, Kosovo.
Structure: The event will start with a brief introduction to the ICR (Innovative Care and Robots) project, which has established a foundation for mirrored transformation in Southeast Europe. Following this, one of the PhD research projects will be presented as a showcase of a research and development project based on the principles of mirrored transformation to advance SAR application in health and care settings. Finally, we will engage our audience in an interactive discussion on the future possibilities and potential of mirrored transformation in the field of socially assistive technologies.
