micro:bit Live is an annual meeting organized by the micro:bit Educational Foundation since 2018, and this year 2024 will take place in Madrid on November 19 from 5pm.
The BBC micro:bit is a programmable board that is reaching every school in the world, with more than 6 million microbits distributed with the aim of fighting for the best digital future for children and young people.
The central theme of the meeting “Promoting Gender Equality in STEAM”, focuses on the integration of the gender perspective in the STEAM areas with micro:bit, exploring how technological tools and robotics can promote equity in the classrooms We will address how inclusive approaches not only enrich the learning of skills and competencies, but also inspire new generations to break stereotypes and actively participate in a more equitable technological future.
Moreover, you’ll discover classroom experiences, the potential of micro:bit added to other external elements, and new micro:bit features like the new machine learning feature with AI!

micro:bit Live es un encuentro anual organizado por la Fundación Educativa micro:bit desde el año 2018, y que este año 2024 tendrá lugar en Madrid el 19 de noviembre a partir de las 17h.
La BBC micro:bit es una placa programable que está llegando a todas las escuelas del mundo, con más de 6 millones de microbits repartidas con el objetivo de luchar por el mejor futuro digital en niños y jóvenes.
El tema central del encuentro “Promoviendo la Igualdad de Género en las STEAM”, se enfoca en la integración de la perspectiva de género en las áreas STEAM con micro:bit, explorando cómo las herramientas tecnológicas y la robótica pueden fomentar la equidad en las aulas. Abordaremos cómo los enfoques inclusivos no sólo enriquecen el aprendizaje de habilidades y competencias, sino que también inspiran a las nuevas generaciones a romper estereotipos y participar activamente en un futuro tecnológico más equitativo.
