The project aims to increase girls’ participation, confidence, and long-term engagement in STEM by using an inclusive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) approach. Its core goal is to empower girls aged 12–17 to become “IGNITE-EUROGEMS Agents”—young ambassadors who can inspire and mentor their peers, helping to reshape community attitudes toward gender and STEM. The project focuses on breaking stereotypes, providing hands-on learning experiences, and creating positive female role models through collaboration with educators, researchers, and industry professionals. By combining in-person workshops with online tools, gamified activities, and competitions, the project widens access to STEM learning while fostering creativity, problem-solving, and leadership. Ultimately, IGNITE-EUROGEMS seeks to build a supportive ecosystem where girls feel confident exploring STEM pathways and contributing to a more gender-balanced future in science and technology.
