5th Robotic Day & FIRST Tech Challenge Cyprus 2026

The registered non-profit foundation ACHIEVEMENT FOUNDATION FOR TALENTED AND GIFTED YOUTH, organizes over a robotics weekend on March 7 & 8, 2026, at the Ayios Dometios Sports Center, the 5th Pancyprian Robotics Competition Robotic Day & FIRST Tech Challenge Cyprus 2026.
The event consists of two parts, where on Saturday at Robotic Day Cyprus 2026 the robotic challenges using the robotic platforms of LEGO, ENGINO and ARDUINO are held and on Sunday at FIRST Tech Challenge Cyprus 2026 the robot games of the advanced robotics platform REV are held.
The winning teams from Robotic Day Cyprus 2026 qualify to participate at the corresponding Robotic Day competition in Prague, Czech Republic, to be held in June 2026. The winning teams from FIRST Tech Challenge Cyprus 2026 qualify to participate at the corresponding FIRST Tech Challenge competition in Houston, USA, to be held in April 2026, as well as at the FIRST Tech Challenge Premier Event at Eindhoven, Netherlands, to be held in June 2026.
The Pancyprian Robotic Day Cyprus 2026 Competition is addressed to Primary School, High School and Technical School students. The Pancyprian FIRST Tech Challenge Cyprus 2026 Competition is addressed only to High School and Technical School students.
The expected number of student participants during the robotics weekend March 7-8, 2026, is expected to be around 600-700. Visitors are expected to be around 1800-2000. These numbers are derived from last year’s numbers as well as taking into account this year’s registrations. The robotics weekend 7-8 March 202,6 is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education as well as the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy. In addition, the event has the support of the Research & Innovation Foundation (IDEK), of the Youth Board of Cyprus (ONEK), the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) and the Association of Private Institutes of Cyprus (SIFK).
